Process Serving FAQ

What is process serving?

Process serving is the legal delivery of court documents—such as summonses, subpoenas, and complaints—to individuals or entities involved in a legal case. It ensures that all parties are properly notified and given the opportunity to respond.

What types of documents do you serve?

We serve a wide range of legal documents, including:

  • Summonses and complaints
  • Subpoenas (civil and criminal)
  • Court orders and writs
  • Notices of eviction
  • Family law documents
  • Small claims and debt collection notices

How quickly can you serve documents?

We offer multiple service tiers to meet your needs:

  • Standard Service: 3–5 business days
  • Rush Service: 24–48 hours
  • Same-Day Service: Available upon request (subject to location and availability)

Do you provide proof of service?

Yes. After successful delivery, we provide a notarized Affidavit of Service or Declaration of Service that meets Texas court requirements.

What happens if the person refuses to accept the documents?

Refusal to accept does not prevent service. If the individual is properly identified and present, we can legally complete service by leaving the documents in their presence and documenting the attempt.

Can you serve someone at their workplace?

Yes, as long as it does not violate workplace policies or create a disturbance. We approach workplace service discreetly and professionally.

Do you serve documents outside of Texas?

Our primary coverage is within Texas. For out-of-state service, we can coordinate with trusted affiliates or advise on next steps.

How do I request service?

You can submit a request through our email or call our office. We respond within one hour during business hours.

What information do you need to begin?

To initiate service, we typically need:

  • A copy of the document(s) to be served
  • The recipient’s full name and known address(es)
  • Any relevant deadlines or court dates
  • Special instructions (e.g., time restrictions, known behaviors)
